Network AIS Receiver AIS-RN02

AIS-RN02 is a portable and professional compact AIS receiver.The AIS-RN02 is a dual-channel AIS receiver integrated with a low-noise amplifier (LNA), featuring compact size, light weight, and low power consumption.

The device supports data output via Ethernet, with Ethernet communication protocols supporting both TCP and UDP. At the same time, the device also retains the capability of data transmission through the USB interface.

Can AIS-RN02 be powered by a power bank?
Yes.
AIS-RN02 has low power consumption and can be powered through its 5V USB power interface. It can also be powered by a power bank, making it convenient for portable and temporary AIS monitoring applications.
This makes the receiver suitable for field testing, demonstrations, portable vessel monitoring, and other mobile applications.

What is the advantage of using Ethernet instead of USB for AIS data output?
USB is convenient when the receiver is connected directly to a single computer.
Ethernet provides greater flexibility for professional system integration. Through Ethernet, AIS-RN02 can transmit data using TCP or UDP protocols and can be integrated into network-based monitoring systems.
Ethernet is particularly useful when the receiver needs to be installed away from the monitoring computer or connected to a local network.
The default network output protocol is UDP, and TCP output can also be configured when required.
